ECO/GREEN FUNERALS

This type of funeral offers the choice of natural burial sites often in woodland settings.

They are located all over the country however in Kent there are natural burial sites in Ashford, Canterbury, Herne Bay, Tenterden and Otford (near Sevenoaks). This natural alternative offers a form of burial where graves are marked, not with stone memorials but by trees which are planted, this creates a natural setting for flora, trees and wildlife to develop. The graves are marked by a wooden marker post to indicate location. To ensure that these sites remain as natural as possible only bio-degradable cardboard coffins are permitted. Sterry Funeral Service offers a range of these alternative eco-friendly coffins. These coffins may also be used for cremation.

BESPOKE SERVICE

We can arrange a particular funeral to suit any individual requirements including traditional funerals involving some Eco/green features i.e. Bamboo coffin. Alternatives to a non-religious ceremony, including poetry reading, favourite music ect. We are available and able “take the worry from our clients” and there to help and care for their wishes.
